    Meitz’ 444 yard passing performance was the second-best mark in the FCS this season as he led Stetson to a 45-15 victory against Louisiana Christian, Saturday. The Hatters’ sophomore quarterback completed 25-of-48 passes for three touchdowns. His 25 completions went to 10 different receivers and the three touchdown passes also went to a different receiver. Wide receivers Nazeviah Burris (7 receptions, 180 yards, TD) and Quinton Lane (5 receptions, 107 yards, TD) each had a 100-yard receiving day as part of Metiz’ performance.

    Hansberry led all tacklers with eight stops (seven solo), including four tackles for loss, in Stetson’s 45-15 victory against Louisiana Christian, Saturday. He also was responsible for a forced fumble that resulted in a turnover, two pass breakups, and a quarterback hurry in the win. Hansberry’s forced fumble came on a fourth-quarter play where he chased down a receiver and punched the ball out with the fumble recovered by Stetson and returned 33 yards.

    SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

    Magee had a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter of Davidson’s 37-17 victory against Barton, Saturday. He finished the day with 145 yards on three kick returns, leading the Wildcats in all-purpose yardage. The 97-yard return is one of just four kick returns of 97-plus yards in the FCS this season. Magee returned the opening kickoff 18 yards, then posted the 97-yard return and capped his day on special teams with a 30-yard return on Barton’s fourth, and final, kickoff. In his regular defensive role, he also had a tackle and a fourth-quarter interception to help seal the Wildcats’ home victory.
